TRAVEL GUIDE
What to do in Tanger ?
During your stay in Tanger, take the time to stroll around the historic center, known for its narrow streets lined with white and blue facades, where artisanal stalls are interspersed with traditional souks. During your walks setting off from your hotel near the Medina, you’ll be able to stop for a moment on Petit Socco (“Little Square”) a dream place to enjoy a mint tea in a convivial and authentic setting. A short distance from here, the American legation authoritatively overlooks the contemporary and international art. The Kasbah, another unmissable site in Tanger, above the Medina, offers an unbeatable view of the port and the Spanish coasts on the horizon. Away from the thirteenth century, the old town and its monuments are testament to the Golden Age of the Star of the North. While you are there, venture into Dar El Makhzen, the former palace of the Pashas of Tangier and the current Al Kasbah museum.

The most beautiful landscapes surrounding Tanger
Our establishment between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic is the point of departure for many lovely walks along the north coast of Morocco. By heading west, you’ll go on a discovery of Spartel cape, at the foot of Jebel es Slokia, via the Mountain district route. Further south, you’ll access the Caves of Hercules, nestled between the ocean beaches of Achakar and Sidi Kacem. By going towards the east of the city, you’ll be able to follow the coastline in search of the ideal stretch of sand. In Sidi Kankouch, Dalia or Ksar Sghir, you’ll be sure to find a little corner of paradise where you can lay down your beach towel. You’ll also get up above it all by climbing to the top of Djebel Musa, which, along with the rock of Gibraltar, forms the famous columns of Hercules. Once back in our hotel in Tangier, you’ll give in to gourmet temptation focused on Moroccan and Mediterraneanspecialties served in our Golden Tulip restaurants. An enjoyable way to honor Tangier’s multicultural heritage!
