« Tulip Inn Apartments »

The apartments appear to have been upgraded a bit. It's nice to have a hard surface underfoot rather than carpet. The Apartments were quiet and had everything needed for an extended stay. Situated close enough for an evening walk into town but out of the centrum to offer some solitude.

« A very pleasant and convenient stay »

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tulip Inn. The staff were very helpful, our room was very nice and very clean. We were in the room at the front on the first floor. The location is really convenience. Just a ten minute walk from the center and railway station.

« Hilversum Gem »

I stayed in 1 of the apartments. It had plenty of room to move around, the kitchen was a blessing as I ate breakfast every morning in apartment. It is an easy walk to the Central Station, as well as the Moet, and morning Wednesday and Saturday morning Markets. I would stay here again, and will recommend to others to stay

« Pleasant small hotel near the Media Park »

This is a small hotel in a pleasant residential area about 10 minutes' walk from the Hilversum Media Park, and a short taxi ride from Hilversum station. It has a bar and spacious airy restaurant. The restaurant menu was rather limited although the food was fine. Breakfast was a good spread with hot food, cereals, bread, croissants, sliced meats and cheese, fruit - all the usuals, plus a good coffee machine (a major plus point for me). The room was rather dark, only having a tall thin window near one end. There was no armchair - just another desk chair in the corner. My bed had a sort of foam mattress, and when I first sat on it my heart sank - that sort is no good for anyone with back trouble. However, I found that it was OK to lie on and my back suffered no ill effects. The staff all speak very good English. The best way to get to Hilversum from Schiphol airport is by train - it takes 30-40 minutes and is very good value at around 8 euros.
