« A Gem of A Find - Luxury on a budget »
What can I say about this hotel? Absolutely nothing but the highest praise for the staff, the location and the attention to detail shown to my husband and I when we stayed during our honeymoon.
We arrived very early and fully expected to leave our suitcase and come back in a few hours - but No, the room was ready! Check in was fast, friendly and efficient. We were given all the information we needed and off to our room we went.
The room was on the 4th floor with a cute little balcony. As we were on honeymoon there were little extras which we both really appreciated. The minibar was included in our room rate and was restocked every day of our 5 day visit to Berlin. The Bathrobes and slippers were a lovely touch after a day out exploring. The bathroom was large with a fabulous bath and shower, quality shower gel and shampoo were provided. The room was spotlessly clean when we arrived and comfortably warm. It is not the biggest room that I have ever stayed in but this is in no way a negative point, it has everything you need - plenty of storage, warm, extra pillows if required and of course the balcony to provide outside space if the weather permits - which for us, it did.
Some reviewers mentioned that there was no tea/coffee making facilities in their rooms, I found this not to be the case with ours. We had a kettle, cups and tea and coffee available and restocked as required.
We stayed on a room only basis but did take brekfast in the hotel on one morning. There is an extensive buffet or a smaller selection of brekfast items from the menu. We ordered from the brekfast menu and found the food to be very very good.
The staff - well, the staff are a credit to the hotel. The reception staff spoke very good english and always greeted with a smile. The housekeeping staff were excellent, efficient and extremely helpful with any requests for extra pillows.
Bicycle hire is available at the hotel for E12 per day. The bicycles are very comfortable and the city is really cycle friendly with large cycle lanes and huge parks to explore.
I whole heartedly recommend the Hotel Bleibtreu Berlin by Golden Tulip to anyone staying in the wonderful city of Berlin. The bus ride (109) from Tegel airport costs E2.80, takes about 20 minutes and drops you off at the top of the street from the hotel.
My husband and I will definately use if as our base when we return to Berlin.

« Nice hotel in quiet street. »
This hotel is just off one of the main shopping streets in Berlin and close to restaurants of all prices and quality. The best currywurst in Berlin is just around the corner or you can slum it on the top floor of KdW.
The staff are helpful, the beds are comfortable and it is an easy walk to the metro station which will take you to one of the stations for the express train to the airport.
Everything you will need from a city hotel.

« Great boutique hotel in top location »
I've been staying over ten years of visits to Berlin. Awesome breakfast, comfy room sizes, great value and cool crowd in the excellent asian restaurant downstairs. Located just of the Kudamm you can't go wrong with the area which is walking distance to shops and restaurants. I'm going back.

« Breakfast to die for »
Lovely boutique hotel in a quiet side street off the K'dam. Quite far from a lot of sites like the museums and Brandenburg gate but buses and train services are easy and cheap. We were meant to stay for 3 nights but ended staying 5 thanks to Easyjet and the snow in the UK! The reception staff are lovely and friendly as are the waitresses/cook in the dining area for breakfast. The breakfast is superb and worth every penny - so much choice and great for foodies like me who like their seeds, fresh fruit, mustard and cress, nuts and grains for breakfast! Don't worry, there's a cooked breakfast and fabulous breads, cheeses, salads, cakes and smoked salmon too!

« A couple of d-bags tried to spoil our stay »
Excellent hotel situated in the west end of Berlin with lots of shops restaurants nearby. The staff are super friendly and is generally a quiet place. Room was very clean and were offered a free mini-bar. The only thing that irritated me was the noise coming from the room next to ours. Two men on the last night were shouting down the hall and letting their door slam. This happened on several occasions throughout the last night of our stay! I know that’s not the hotels fault. It has left me very sleepy for my journey home!
Great place to stay I highly recommend it!
