« Very good. »
Stayed for two nights on business trip. This hotel is situated in a fairly quiet street and had everything I needed. Upon arrival I was accidentally given a room that upon entering had a maintenance guy refurbishing it. He came with me back to reception and after a short wait I was given a new room and an apology. This hotel is clean, well maintained and in a good location. The bed was comfortable. The room was small but plenty for one. Breakfast was good quality. The alcohol free - free mini bar was a nice touch. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would happily return next time I’m in Berlin.

« Nice hotel »
This was the second time I booked a stay in this hotel. We stayed one night for the weekend.
The staff was super friendly, you get a free filled mini bar with a range of non-alcoholic drinks and the room has all you need. It is within walking distance of the Ku'damm and a train station nearby as well. If you don't want to try the breakfast at the hotel there is a lot of places around, like to Café Bleibtreu, where you can get a great brunch buffet, which is only a few meters down the street.

« Curious eclectic little hotel »
The hotel has the feel of a small provincial hotel rather than a hotel in the heart of Berlin’s chiquest shopping district. The welcome I received from the night receptionist was both friendly and personal and refreshingly unsophisticated. The room was spacious and airy, with high ceilings and windows which could be opened wide. This was just as well as there was no airco and just a floor fan - the room was very stuffy when I arrived but by opening all the windows this certainly eased the heat. Would not be confident about visiting in high summer though, even though the street is remarkably quiet in spite of being just off the Ku’damm. The style can best be described as retro, with furnishings and colours very much from the 60s and 70s. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean and well-appointed. A particular highlight was the breakfast which was extensive and interesting. There was even honeycomb on offer, which is a rarity in large hotels let alone small ones.
Overall a surprising hotel, with a lot of good things to recommend it. Now if only it had airco...

« A Gem of A Find - Luxury on a budget »
What can I say about this hotel? Absolutely nothing but the highest praise for the staff, the location and the attention to detail shown to my husband and I when we stayed during our honeymoon.
We arrived very early and fully expected to leave our suitcase and come back in a few hours - but No, the room was ready! Check in was fast, friendly and efficient. We were given all the information we needed and off to our room we went.
The room was on the 4th floor with a cute little balcony. As we were on honeymoon there were little extras which we both really appreciated. The minibar was included in our room rate and was restocked every day of our 5 day visit to Berlin. The Bathrobes and slippers were a lovely touch after a day out exploring. The bathroom was large with a fabulous bath and shower, quality shower gel and shampoo were provided. The room was spotlessly clean when we arrived and comfortably warm. It is not the biggest room that I have ever stayed in but this is in no way a negative point, it has everything you need - plenty of storage, warm, extra pillows if required and of course the balcony to provide outside space if the weather permits - which for us, it did.
Some reviewers mentioned that there was no tea/coffee making facilities in their rooms, I found this not to be the case with ours. We had a kettle, cups and tea and coffee available and restocked as required.
We stayed on a room only basis but did take brekfast in the hotel on one morning. There is an extensive buffet or a smaller selection of brekfast items from the menu. We ordered from the brekfast menu and found the food to be very very good.
The staff - well, the staff are a credit to the hotel. The reception staff spoke very good english and always greeted with a smile. The housekeeping staff were excellent, efficient and extremely helpful with any requests for extra pillows.
Bicycle hire is available at the hotel for E12 per day. The bicycles are very comfortable and the city is really cycle friendly with large cycle lanes and huge parks to explore.
I whole heartedly recommend the Hotel Bleibtreu Berlin by Golden Tulip to anyone staying in the wonderful city of Berlin. The bus ride (109) from Tegel airport costs E2.80, takes about 20 minutes and drops you off at the top of the street from the hotel.
My husband and I will definately use if as our base when we return to Berlin.

« Nice hotel in quiet street. »
This hotel is just off one of the main shopping streets in Berlin and close to restaurants of all prices and quality. The best currywurst in Berlin is just around the corner or you can slum it on the top floor of KdW.
The staff are helpful, the beds are comfortable and it is an easy walk to the metro station which will take you to one of the stations for the express train to the airport.
Everything you will need from a city hotel.
