« Great for Business »

The hotel is perfect for the modern business traveler, good location in the heart of the new business district and with all the essential amenities required. Also not a bad rate at all, very well worth the value!

« A good, well located city hotel »

I recently stayed at the Golden Tulip for four nights and was more than satisfied with my visit, especially for the price. The bedding was very nice too. We arrived late in the evening and was able to order room service, which was affordable and tasty. The room was really pleasant, spacious, and clean. The hotel has a well equipped gym, which we used regularly. Breakfast was good: there were lots of options. Golden Tulip also has a good veggie Indian restaurant. There's also a rooftop pool which offers great views of the city. The weather was just a tad too cool for a swim, but I did notice the pool didn't look as clean as I liked. Perhaps in warmer months it gets more love. What I really liked about the hotel was the price and the location. Westlands is a quickly developing neighbourhood and the hotel was close to many recommended night spots such as J's, Brew Bistro, (on the popular Electric Avenue), Alchemist etc. You can also walk to a number of malls and markets. Nairobi is such a lively city and it was great that we were able to use Uber. My one tip would be to skip an expensive airport transfer and just get an Uber from the airport.
