« Best location for Hotel in Reims »

The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk to the restaurant and cafe district and to the Cathedral. Plus it is also just a short walk (through a lovely park) to the train station. It was a very comfortable room, plus we had a view of the cathedral. The staff were lovely. However, the hallways to the room aren't lit, so you walk from the elevator (lift) to your room in semi darkness. Maybe there are supposed to be sensors which when activated will turn on the lights. If this is the case, then they were broken on our floor. The hot water took so long to reach our shower that I assumed that there was no hot water at all. I was just about to call reception to tell them that we had no hot water when it started to warm up. The shower (it was a shower in the bath) was the most difficult shower I have had to get into and out of. It was really awkward due to glass screen not being able to move properly due to the bathroom layout. The breakfast was quite basic. Although there were these little complaints, the overall stay was enjoyable and the room very comfortable and I would stay here again.

« Barely average »

The hotel is in a good location but both the exterior and interior are not in great condition. This hotel has definitely seen better days. Maybe the renovation will help but if I have my choice I will go elsewhere next time.

« Great Location, underwhelming facilities »

The hotel is in an excellent central location although without on-site parking. The refurbishment that is taking place was not yet reflected in the quality of the room, which was comfortable, but the en-suite was of poor quality and not up to the usual standard of Golden Tulip hotels. The restaurant in the hotel provided an excellent dinner, but we chose to go out for breakfast as the choice and quality on offer was not acceptable.

« Tatty and bit smelly »

First impression was not good, looks worn, for rooms starting 2.. you need 3rd floor not the usual 2nd. I presume it might be being refurbished judging by the state of decoration on floor 2. Room was small, cramped, no tea and coffee making facilities, decoration in room looked basic, would not stay here by choice, ok for 1 night but no more.

« Last minute booking turns out more than ok »

We booked through at a price below 50 euro's. We were pleasantly surprised by very friendly staff and a cleAn room. Room is not too spacious but itvworked. Shower and toilet a bit dated. We had a perfect night of sleep. Breakfast at 13 euro's pp was more than ok and sufficient
