« Terrific Reception team; highly functional room »

We were overnighting prior to an early morning Saturday departure from LYS. Excellent greeting on arrival and a very cordial farewell on departure. Everything in the room worked well and were both delighted with the "Green" focus that Golden Tulip has adopted. Nice quiet location. Friday dinner options were limited and early Saturday morning breakfast options were very limited. We would not choose it as a base for an extended holiday/vacation but it would be perfect for a pre-flight stay or for a business traveler or for a business group meeting.

« Good service and ethics »

I stayed for two nights with a colleague on a business trip. Service excellent from reception desk and breakfast restaurant. A great range of foods at breakfast. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom and plenty of storage space in the room. The hotel is environmentally friendly, with lights in the public areas that turn on and off when they sense movement do no waste, no wastage of bathroom toiletries etc. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact the rooms aren’t individually heated, it was way too hot for me even with the window open. Housekeeping brought me a fan very quickly but then I could hear the constant hum.

« Great place to stay as a stopover to final destination »

The hotel was very easy to find, close to the freeway, as this was just a one-night stay en route to another destination. The bar and restaurant were very nice and comfortable. Also the view over a small lake and park was really beautiful. It was nice and quiet. The staff were very friendly and did everything they could to make us feel welcome. We also appreciated having a private parking directly in the same building. Although the bar and restaurant were nice, and the food was very good, we found it to be a bit pricey. This hotel is definitely targeted toward business travelers that are not too concerned about their expense account. Also, it was a shame that there were no sun umbrellas on the terrace, making it too hot to enjoy a drink outside before dinner.

« Lovely stay »

We stayed for 2 nights. From the moment we arrived we treated very well, and every staff member during our 2 day stay provided the same high level of customer care. The room was clean, the location was great for hopping on a tram and heading to downtown Lyon, and the meal we had in the restaurant was excellent. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
