The Golden Tulip is so far the best hotel in the city, the location and the great views that over see the city. The service in the hotel is super that they always have a room for me or they improvise. 5star stuff and especially the front office team is always ready to help especially Jude Allan Mary! « Awesome »

I had a beautiful stay. Great food. Clean and stylishly furnished rooms. Great welcome with a platter of fruits in the room. Very helpful staff. Great to avoid going for lunch same time with conference guests. All seats are taken up and no satisfying place to seat for a buffet lunch.

« High quality construction, service could be better »

This is a sleek new hotel with some good facilities. I was here for a conference, and therefore got a good discount rate. The room was fine, the bed was comfortable and all mod cons were provided. The labelling of hot and cold on the shower control was misleading (to my mind you have to turn it the opposite way to which you would expect), and since you have to wait a minute or two for the hot water to chase out the cold water, I could not at first work out how to get a hot shower. Make sure you ask the staff member escorting you to your room to demonstrate the shower's use and you should be fine. Also I had to call up to get them to allow a 3rd device to connect to the wifi which I thought was a bit unnecessarily restrictive. The main area of let down was the food service in the bar area. It took forever to deliver simple lunch orders (>1 hour to get a salad). Clearly the kitchen staff need to be able to work quicker, but also the waiting staff need to be much more proactive and front-up about any delays rather than just assuring one that your order will be coming soon. We spoke to a duty supervisor about that, but were far from convinced he really got the point, which just highlighted the problem. The food when it came was decent quality. One useful tip: at breakfast you can get bespoke coffees rather than just pouring from the pot which might have been stewing for a while; just ask the staff for an Americano or whatever, and they'll bring you it.
