« Nice clean hotel. Quite location and very nice Spa »

The hotel is located close to the train station and the main high street. Paid Spa is a minus, specially because it can be very very crowded mainly on weekend and evenings. Unfortunately the views from the hotel are a bit blocked so you cannot see the mountains or lake very well from all the rooms. The attention is good and the local restaurant is decent.

« Very nice spa session and hotel »

We chose the Golden package including breakfast, unlimited spa access and two spa treatments per person. Everything was according to expectations or even better. And when we asked to keep one of the rooms until 13:00, this was arranged without any discussion I am very satisfied and highly recommends this hotel in combination with the spa facility an treatments

« Good hotel in a lovely town »

Aix Les Bains is a favourite town which I visit in business often, but my wife has also now visited a few times and wanted a few days break. Chose this hotel as it was central to town, had spa facilities and looked good. Service was excellent and even with my basic French, they were as helpful as could Beto accommodate and welcome us. We took a superior room and it was very nice indeed. Lots of space, clean, etc. Only criticism was that it was too hot. Air con didn’t cool the room at all and although. This may seem a strange comment in December, we slept with the window open every night to try to get some cool air. Minor issue, not to stress upon. Breakfast was good, but would recommend management look at coffee machines -simply not enough capacity and constant queues for a hot drink as a result. Spa was also good and a nice place to relax. 2 minutes walk from the town which is lovely and only a gentle 30 minutes walk to the lake. We know the area so we’re happy with this and walked down to the he day to enjoy its beauty. Walking back also isn’t hard work, but for those who don’t want to do this, then a taxi can it be expensive for such a short trip. Not a cheap hotel by any means and not one I would stay in frequently as a result, but for a special trip, very nice indeed.

« Nice large rooms »

It was our first stay at a Golden Tulip hotel and it was very nice. Central to town with lots of bars and restaurants. Very nice and helpful reception staff and an added bonus they accept pets. Slow wifi but it was OK. The bathroom was a good size but had a separate tiny loo. Bar closed at 10.30 even though there were a few people still drinking. £25 for four galsses of wine was a bit excessive but the hotel bar was cosy and bright. Would stay there again. Did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on food. Free parking outside the hotel but car park does get busy. Kettle and real cups (and glasses) in the room which after staying at a couple of Mercure Hotels with their paper cups and plastic glasses was a real treat.
