« You'll like it if you are an eccentric traveler. »

Funky, bizarre, noisy, hotel is any eccentric's dream. By 4PM 7/16 the room had still not been cleaned. Maybe that's the way it is on Sundays. Otherwise, room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The hotel is an assemblage of several old houses with floors at different heights, hence a special charm, but many small up and down stairs. Flimsy acoustic insulation is unhelpful with neighboring rooms occupied by young Brits on a beer-guzzling minitrip. Squeaky floors and ceilings. A good thing is that prices are quite reasonable given the excellent location - hence my overall positive rating after all.

+ Hotel is very well located in the heart of Amsterdam + Less than 5 minutes walk to Amsterdam Central + Lobby is great to hang around + Several stores around you + Rentable bikes + You are actually in the middle of everything - Small sized rooms and small toilets - Unfortunately not enough space is the single rooms for you and your bag ! - Could be noisy at night

« Good one ! »

We decided to book a room at this hotel also after reading some bad reviews. And we are glad that we did it ,very close to the central station, very helpful & friendly stuff, especially June in the reception, room was nice and clean, bathroom as well, very close to all the area you should see in Amsterdam, I think some people compare this hotel with a five star hotels that's why they don't like it. Of course it's noisy at night because of location, if you planning to stay and enjoy the night life it's a good choice, if you want to rest or relaxt better to think of other hotel far from center.
