« The best and nicer »

This strategic located luxury hotel is said to be the best in the Brazil capital city and I should agree. Even Barack Obama picked it up when visiting our country. This hotel has a horseshoe format with well decorated cozy rooms which have fully equipped restrooms (separated shower and bathtub) and king size beds. The rooms with higher number are located in the internal side of the horseshoe and have a privileged view of the Paranoá lake, hotel swimming pools and its pier. It also counts with a fitness area and a kids space with staff to take care of your children. Employees are engaged, very attentive and well trained. You can even get a boat trip from the hotel pier to navigate on the lake and check some landmarks. The first one is Alvorada Palace which the official Brazilian president residence which is beside to this hotel. Check my other review about Mar de Brasilia about this boat trip. Breakfast is very good with several options including a cooking station where you can order omelettes the way you want. Room service didn't let me down also. Not cheap, but it lives to provide you a service worth of its price.

« May be the best hotel in Brasilia »

Rooms were great, very spacious. Tremendous views of the lake, several huge pools. Nice walkway along the waterfront. All the amenities you could hope for. Prices reasonable. Superb staff. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

« Nice location, perfection is not too far »

This hotel is well located, let's say not far from the main things to visit, or the business buildings. In Brasilia, nothing is really very close, the city is huge. But the roads are also big enough and there are not unbearable traffic jams. The hotel provides nice rooms, ours was oriented with a nice view on the swimming pool and the lake. As usual, there are things to say. First of all, in the positive corner, all the people are very friendly, they answer quickly and want to help you as soon as they can. In the negative corner, nothing so important, but for our room, the ventilation in our bathroom made the noise of a Boeing... And please, my friends architects, just have a look at the details: when we take a shower, it is not normal that a part of the water goes out of the cabin, and stays just in front of the toilet and in front of the washbasin.

« Luxurious hotel by the lake »

PROS: - Fantastic view (if you get a room with a view, that is) - Some rooms have huge balconies with sun bathing chairs. - I stayed in one of the "deluxe" rooms, so it was extremely comfortable. Huge bed, clean. No complaints. - No complaints about the staff overall. They were all friendly and spoke english (I speak portuguese myself but I saw some of the staff speaking english with another guests) - Breakfast was delicious. - Soundproof. Couldn't hear noises from other rooms. CONS: - Location. And this is the only reason why I didn't give 5 stars. But please, read on. If you don't know Brasilia, it's important to note that public transport in general is terrible. Brasilia was a city built primarily for cars. Even walking from one place to the other can be challenging sometimes. The actual location of the hotel is not bad, using a car you can easily get anywhere. But without a car, there's nothing you can do on foot. And no public transport whatsoever. It's kind of a paradox. Close to get to with a car, but really far on foot. So be prepared to take taxis/uber every time you want to leave the hotel. There's NOTHING close to the hotel you can go on foot. No shops, no pharmacies, no restaurants. For a tourist this can be a deal breaker. So a hotel in one of the main hotel sectors would be better in this regard.

« Good hotel with room for improvements »

Good hotel located next to the presidential palace (Palacio Alvorada) and at the lake. Lovely view from the rooms facing the pool and lake, especially at sunset. Nice outdoor area with swimming pool. Play area for small kids and kids' pool. The hotel is good but there's quite some room for improvements. I'd give it 4 stars rather than the 5 stars it is rated. Check-in and check-out is extremely slow and overcrowded, this must not happen at a 4/5 star hotel. The breakfast buffet focuses on quantity rather than on quality, I've seen much better in Brazil. Housekeeping was quick and efficient. The restaurant is very average and I wouldn't recommend it. Go to the Oscar restaurant in the Brasília Palace Hotel next door, it's much better (food, atmosphere)!
