When we booked the hotel we were looking for something that would be close to transports, have good conditions and would not be too expensive. We were two couples and booked the rooms online. We started to get a bit scared because of the bad reviews we were reading, but we were so happy when we got to the hotel. Bear in mind that it's a three star hotel, don't expect to have the conditions of a plaza. If you intend to spend lots of time in your room, it may not be the right choice. It's a good place to stay if you intend to walk around, visit the city and then sleep in a quiet area. There are amenities close by, in a 5 minute walking distance when you turn left of the hotel. The food was very good in all restaurants we tried and you have supermarkets around. You have the train station three minutes away and it's only two stops to Frankfurt Central Station. Our room did not have a mini fridge whereas the other couple's room had. But we were not upset about it, still if you require one, I would suggest requesting at reception when checking in, they might be able to do so as they are quite helpful and nice staff who speak English. The breakfast was alright, but we only had it once as we thought it was a bit overpriced for the selection. The good thing about it is you can choose at the day if you would like it or not and then pay at check out. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable and clean. We had fresh towels daily and the replenishment are refilled as necessary. You have a small lounge at reception if you would like to enjoy a soft drink or a beer at a good price. In regards of Wi-Fi, not so good in our room but it was better in the other couple's room. We will definitely stay again if we are to visit Frankfurt in the future.

The four stars is based on it being a business orientated hotel close to transport. WE stayed here for 5 nights because we were visiting relatives and such like, not a business trip but what attracted us to the Nordic was the nightly rate and closeness to public transport (did not need a hire car). It got four stars because the walls of the rooms are thick so we heard not a squeak from the adjacent rooms. Similarly if you are away from the internet transponders on each floor you do not get a signal (if you want an internet signal do not go for the rooms with an 01 in the number). My wife would have given 3 stars because she thought the beds were too soft. To me the beds were comfortable, clean, quiet (we faced the garden out the back) and the breakfast okay. In terms of getting there from the airport use the S8, or S9 (underground) get out at the Offenbach Markplatz. This is simpler than the overground where you have to change trains. The walk from the underground may be 10 minutes rather than the 5 minutes from the Offenbach Hauptbaunhof but it saves changing trains and the confusing ticket/platform arrangements (even the locals get confused). If you use the overground you have a choice of stations to change at, choose the Hauptwache station (it is simpler, as you are on the same platform). We found the staff okay, my wife is German and they enjoyed a bit of a laugh.
