Golden Tulip Hotel Central location

The Golden Tulip Hotel Central offers 125 4 star rooms in the medieval city of Hertogenbosch. Located along the edge of the market square, the hotel is charmingly situated and makes for a wonderful exploration base for tourists to the Netherlands, and a scenic stay for those visiting for business. The Golden Tulip's Gothic 14th-century vaulted cellar, De Hoofdwacht, is one of its stand-out features and available as a event space. Despite the ancient surroundings, you can rest assured that the hotel isn't lacking in mod-cons. There's all the facilities needed for a successful stay, be it for business or pleasure.

There are 125 non-smoking rooms to choose from at the Golden Tulip Hotel Central, including five Executive Rooms, three Deluxe Rooms, two Junior Suites and one Duke Suite. Your 4 star room will come with free Wi-Fi access, air-conditioning, coffee and tea facilities, a minibar, safe, a flat screen TV (with a video-on-demand system) and radio. For something a little more lavish, the suites have Jacuzzis, and the Executive Rooms are designed for business guests.

The a la carte restaurant De Leeuwenborgh is a great stop for dinner, serving a mixture of traditional Dutch and French dishes, and there's also Brasserie Central, which has an incredible view of the market square. Business guests can book one of the 12, recently renovated, conference rooms, and guests can also hire out the Gothic vaulted cellar for special occasions. The 4 star accommodation gives its guests free access to high-speed Wi-Fi, use of the 7th-floor gym, and the option of using the hotel's shuttle service.

The Golden Tulip Hotel Central has an enviable location in the heart of the medieval market town Hertogenbosch. You can arrive by car - parking in De Tolbrug opposite the hotel - or by public transport - the train station is only a seven-minute walk away - before checking into your 4 star hotel room. Surrounding the Golden Tulip are many museums, bars and restaurants for guests to explore at their leisure, and there are also the beautiful, historic canals to be cruised.

« Very central »

Location of the hotel is top, the best in town. Excellent bed, bad internet connection (dropped all the time, room 411). Extremly friendly and caring staff, also at breakfast. Vast breakfast buffet, Saturdays until 11 AM. They are currently renovating the restaurant and breakfast is therefore served in the old cellar, however I missed the daylight and the quiet atmosphere; it was like eating breakfast in a noisy, dark canteen. I would go there again, though.

« Pleasant stay in a comfortable hotel »

We spent two nights in the Golden Tulip in Den Bosch, and it was fine. The room was comfortable, with a satisfactory bathroom and good wifi. Staff at the front desk were uniformly welcoming and helpful. The hotel's location, right on the main market square, was a big plus for us, even if the entrance was around the back, along a street with none of the market square's charm. The umbrellas available for hotel guests were helpful and an obviously good idea in the Netherlands. Breakfast was a buffet in what they told us was a temporary arrangement on the ground floor, during renovation of the normal first-floor space, but it didn't feel temporary or inadequate. The breakfast service was very good, even if the range of offerings wasn't anything to write home about (e.g., no muesli or hot oatmeal).

« Excellent stay and the staff are wonderful »

I had booked multiple bookings over 2 days with friends arriving from the UK at different times, so it was quite confusing at first for reception, but they quickly sorted out all of the rooms over the different arrrival dates, times and names for my group of 16 here for the jazz festival. At all times the reception staff, the bar staff, everyone I encountered here made the stay so much more pleasurable. The location is the best in Den Bosch and since my last visit over 4 years ago the rooms have been upgraded to a very good standard also. The rooms are very spacious and despite the noise outside from the festival, we heard no noise in our rooms. I'm looking forward to coming back to Den Bosch, as I will definitely stay here again

« Excellent hotel in excellent location »

Beautiful hotel that's been around for over 100 years. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, very helpful and friendly staff. Ideally located in the center of this historic city, you can't go wrong with this hotel.
