Located along the edge of the market square, the hotel is charmingly situated and makes for a wonderful exploration base for tourists to the Netherlands, and a scenic stay for those visiting for business. The Golden Tulip's Gothic 14th-century vaulted cellar, De Hoofdwacht, is one of its stand-out features and available as a event space. Despite the ancient surroundings, you can rest assured that the hotel isn't lacking in mod-cons. There's all the facilities needed for a successful stay, be it for business or pleasure.

There are 125 non-smoking rooms to choose from at the Golden Tulip Hotel Central, including five Executive Rooms, three Deluxe Rooms, two Junior Suites and one Duke Suite. Your 4 star room will come with free Wi-Fi access, air-conditioning, coffee and tea facilities, a minibar, safe, a flat screen TV (with a video-on-demand system) and radio. For something a little more lavish, the suites have Jacuzzis, and the Executive Rooms are designed for business guests.

The a la carte restaurant De Leeuwenborgh is a great stop for dinner, serving a mixture of traditional Dutch and French dishes, and there's also Brasserie Central, which has an incredible view of the market square. Business guests can book one of the 12, recently renovated, conference rooms, and guests can also hire out the Gothic vaulted cellar for special occasions. The 4 star accommodation gives its guests free access to high-speed Wi-Fi, use of the 7th-floor gym, and the option of using the hotel's shuttle service.

The Golden Tulip Hotel Central has an enviable location in the heart of the medieval market town Hertogenbosch. You can arrive by car - parking in De Tolbrug opposite the hotel - or by public transport - the train station is only a seven-minute walk away - before checking into your 4 star hotel room. Surrounding the Golden Tulip are many museums, bars and restaurants for guests to explore at their leisure, and there are also the beautiful, historic canals to be cruised.

« Perfect location, good service »

Hotel Central is located in the centre of lovely Den Bosch. Many visitors to Holland would maybe go to Amsterdam, but smaller old cities like Den Bosch and Maastricht are much nicer. Hotel Central is located at the Market Square, close to all attractions and to so many shops. The hotel offers good rooms, a phantastic breakfast and good service.

« Nice hotel in the centre of den Bosch »

The first room I was offered was a lovely large one overlooking the market square. The receptionist did warn me that the "fair was in town" and it was literally right outside my window so they moved me to a quieter room - sadly without a view. The room was a decent size with a nice large bed, desk and fridge. The shower over the bath was a bit of a pain as it was on the wall in the middle of the bath rather than at one end so you had to stand in the middle of the bath and it squirted directly onto the shower curtain. The toilet was also separate from the bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a chargeable underground car park available and I parked there and then really struggled to find my way out with suitcases and bags - through locked doors only accessible with your room card key that I didn't have at that time so with hind site - park outside hotel, check in, get key card, unload bags and then park. Will I go back to this hotel - yes and I am, next week.

« Excellently situated friendly hotel »

Stayed here with six friends for two nights. I had one of the renovated rooms for single occupancy, and found it well-equipped with no complaints. There was a noisy fairground in the main square, but we were all given rooms towards the back of the hotel and were not disturbed. Fine breakfast - buffet and cooked-to-order. Reception staff very helpful and willingly booked us restaurants, taxis, etc. Strongly recommended if you are in Den Bosch.

« The best in town »

Centrally located on the market square. In the middle of a city that is rather small. Very friendly locals. The hotel (at the time of oir stay there were some building activities in the hotel, no trouble, no noise). Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Room is smallish, but contains everything you need.

« Superb hotel in the heart of Den Bosch »

This hotel is situated right in the very centre of Den Bosch next to the main market. We found it extremely clean, tidy and beautifully decorated throughout in a combination of both modern and traditional styles. Although the hotel is situated next to the market, the main entrance and reception are located at the back of the hotel on Burgemeester Loeffplein 98 (not on the market side). The reception area is reasonably small, but the staff there were very efficient and extremely helpful and polite. There are also 2x lifts from here (which are activated by your room keycard) and go up to all floors. The hotel has it’s own private car parking facility by making use of the lower (-1) level of the ‘Q’-Parking ‘De Tolbrug’ on the Burgemeester Loeffplein 70. This is only available for hotel guests and can be arranged via the hotel reception. Your room keycard can be activated (by reception) to enable you to enter and exit the carpark, making it quite secure. The rooms are very large and spacious and have extremely large beds available. There is a mini-bar and coffee / tea making facilities in the room. The bathroom is quite large, with a shower / bath and the toilet is in a separate room. The rooms are air-conditioned and everything is very clean and tidy. The breakfast area is quite large and is situated on the lower level in the unusual form of a cellar. There is plenty of choice of everything and the staff there couldn’t do enough for you and were extremely polite. The food was very tasty and most enjoyable. The hotel also has it’s own brasserie restaurant (Cé) on the 1st floor, which has recently been beautifully decorated in the same modern and traditional style. This very spacious restaurant is accessible from within the hotel and from the main central market which it overlooks. Here there is a good choice of food on the menu and the staff were very friendly, but unfortunately we found it a little expensive for the size of the meals. (Typical 4* hotel prices I think). All together this is a very nice and well-managed hotel and it’s good location (right in the centre) makes it an ideal place to stay when visiting this beautiful historic city. We could not really fault it in any way and it is easy to see why it has won so many awards. I would certainly recommend it to others !
