What to do in New Delhi?
Near our hotels, take a walk around some incredible places during your stay in New Delhi. The first of these is Qûtb Minâr. Standing 239 feet high, you’ll spot this sandstone and marble minaret from far away. It is thought to have been built around 1200. At its ground level, you can look at the ruins of the mosque and its courtyard. Continue your trip towards the north of the city. Also built of red sandstone, the Red Fort’s silhouette has been a feature of the landscape since the seventeenth century. The walls house palaces, pavilions, baths, towers, a museum, and many other spaces reflective of the pomp of the Moghul Empire. Round off your itinerary with Jama Masjid mosque, an unmissable site in New Delhi. This building is a further example of Moghul architecture and its bulbous towers. Like the two previous sites, it is covered in sandstone and marble. Climb the steps to one of the minarets to gain a spectacular vista of the city.

New Delhi’s most beautiful temples and tombs
Setting off from your 4-star hotel in New Delhi, reach the most incredible temples and tombs. Akshardham temple will astound you with its monumental architecture. Topped by nine domes, it numbers among the largest Hindu temples. Shows, models, and more, offer you a spiritual and engaging immersion. Right nearby, you can visit the tombs of Humayun and Safdarjung. The first and last Moghul buildings respectively, they enclose the resting places of the sovereign “Nawabs”. The architect who created the Taj Mahal, your next stop, drew inspiration, in fact, from Humayun’s tomb to build one of the seven wonders of the modern world. Decked in marble and precious stones, the Taj Mahal symbolizes the love of Emperor Shâh Jahân for his wife who died in 1631. Planning to stay several days in New Delhi?
