« Nice hotel but no Customer Service. »

I stayed at this hotel in Dec 28. I 've been here twice and for my next visit Seoul, I decided not to stay at this hotel. Location: There is a 24hour convenient store right beside the hotel; The hotel located quite conveniently to the Namdaemun and Myeongdong markets. Room: Average size, simple but clean. Hinoki Room was the best choice. I gave 4 stars because of the room. The wooden bathtub is a nice touch but I didn’t use it. Breakfast is included in the hotel rates but after 2 days, you probably get bored with the food as they do not change the menu, day in day out is the same food. The best of the team was the Housekeeping team. They are impressive. When they saw me walk out of the lift, a big smile was on them directly. They're more friendly than anyone from Front Desk Team. It seems like FO Team never smiles. Cheers for HK Team. Thank you! Service: The only reason that I would like to gave 3 stars was the lacks of customer service. Reception is unfriendly. It was a nice experience overall. Recommend for anyone who doesn't care about Customer Services.

« Good Location, Clean Hotel »

We stayed at this hotel in mid-Dec 17. The room size was average; more on the smaller size. There is a 24hour convenient store right beside the hotel; so was convenient as we arrived late night. It is located quite conveniently to the Namdaemun and Myeongdong markets. Have to walk about 5 -10 mins though. Along the way, there are various cafes such as Starbuck and 24hour outlet. Nearest subway was the City Hall. This subway connects you to all the other lines. So very convenient to move around. The other plus point is that this hotel provided us with free handphone that comes with wifi. So we could use the phone for google map. Very convenient. Breakfast spread was reasonable. As we had to break our stay (check-out for 1 nite to stay at Sokchon), we experienced staying in rooms at different levels. Level 8 rooms had bath tub while the Level 3 had shower room. The layout especially for rooms on level 3 was a bit unusual; even though the shower room and toilet cubicle were separated by a glass wall, it had only 1 door. So you either close the door to the shower room OR to toilet cubicle. Not used to this.

« Convenient tourist location, and good breakfast »

This is a well-kept hotel. Room is tiny, and only couple of tiny shelves for stuff, so you'll have to get creative with finding places to stow luggage, and keep clothes. Backpacks fit nicely on the ledge behind sitting area bench. This is a busy hotel, so expect to wait for around 5 minutes for an elevator, if you plan to go down to the lobby between 8 and 9 in the morning. Otherwise, the hotel offers what is really important for a tourist. Ample breakfast with a variety of food choices, both European and Asian. Excellent high-speed WiFi, including a portable hot-spot (looks like a smartphone, you can take it with you when exploring the city) at no added cost. Very warm in the room. Location is very handy. Walking distance to at least 2 different subway stations, on blue and green lines. Walking distance to at least 3 palaces (Gyeongbokgung, Gyeongdeokgung and Deoksugung). Lots of eating options around. Tip: do not forget to turn on 'make up room' light when you leave for the day, otherwise the room will not be made.
