« Good value for money »

Looks a bit outdated on the outside but has a modern updated feel on the inside of the building. Rooms are relatively small but are well equipped. The beds are OK. The bathroom is on the small side but ok for short stay. The staff, especially the bartender, is friendly. Breakfast buffet quality is good with enough selection of most people. Considering the fair pricing, this hotel offered good value for money.

« Good for the Hague or Zoetermeer »

Been a while since my last visit and it has been refurbished in a formal flat/square black floor/grey wall design. Bed was comfortable and thick pillow. Electronic airco that was quite responsive. Rain shower head and modern bathroom. Toilet was close to the wall, so a squeeze if you're tall. Didn't try the bar/bistro. Breakfast was decent choice of continental or english. Courteous and friendly staff.

« Nice room, good breakfast »

We spent 3 nights. The staff is very nice and helpfull. Check in was fast and all papers were ready when arriving. Room was nice and big enough. Shower is good. The beds are quite narrow, but I slept ok. Our deal was to pay separately the breakfast. It was quite expensive (16,50€), but having lots of choices. I don't know if there are any other options near by, so we all ate that every morning. Would stay again, and also would use the breakfast again.

« A sunny window seat »

We were staying for a week in the Golden Tulip whilst visiting Dutch friend in Zoetermeer and this hotel was one our friends suggested. We found it to be excellent value and chose an executive room. A bright sunny room with a super window seat. I had emailed the hotel to say I was slightly claustraphobic and would like a bright room. The hotel responded quickly with an email. We were given a room which was perfect, as it was not overlooked and felt open. The railway and tram stations are just a five minute walk, if that from the hotel, so very convientient to be able to leave your car when visiting all the towns around, i.e Gouda, Rotterdam, Den Haag, so no parking worries. The double glazing in the room was so efficient that there was no sound from either, or the motorway beyond. So although the back of the hotel looks out onto all three of these and the view could not be considered scenic, it in no way spoiled our stay. The front of the hotel is set in a leafy suburb, with lots of well established trees and greenery so I presume this is the view from front rooms. A spacious attractive reception area giving a very good impression on arrival and polite and friendly staff. Terrific breakfast as one would expect in the Netherlands. We only ate one evening meal in the hotel which was fairly good without being exciting, so no complaints there. We will certainly use this hotel for future visits
