« schöner Aufenthalt im Golden Tulip - mit kleinen Mängeln »

Das Golden Tulip ist ein schönes Hotel, das in einer Seitenstraße in Seminyak liegt. Ein Freund und ich verbrachten dort eine Woche. Die Dachterasse mit Pool und Restaurant ist sehr schön. Am Pool fehlen meines Erachtens nach einige Liegen - man findet mit Geduld aber immer einen Platz. Das Frühstück wird eben so im Restaurant oben eingenommen. Hier hat man eine gute Auswahl an Gerichten, wie man sie von anderen Hotels kennt. Es war immer sehr lecker. Ein angenehmer Start in den Tag. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Das Einzige, was mich etwas gestört hat, waren die teilweise fleckigen Handtücher. Auch am Poolbereich hat man teilweise welche bekommen, die schon etwas "mitgenommen" aussahen. Das liegt aber zum Teil sicher an den Gästen, die damit nicht gerade verantwortungsvoll umgehen. Beim Essen am Pool landen dort mal gerne ein paar Speisereste oder Getränke darauf. Stets nach dem Motto "gehört ja nicht mir". Wir hatten dort einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

« I didn't like this hotel »

We stayed at 6th floor. The smell in the room was awful. Windows are from floor to ceiling which cant be opened. We had to have an air-con on all the time which made me and my daughter sick. Asked for a room where we could open a window so we could breath properly but they wouldn't give us an upgrade. I would never stay again at this hotel. Breakfast very limited.

The staff were nice and helpful. They also offered complimentary massage for 20 minutes which you can take upon check in or check out. I love the breakfast place at rooftop area. The view is awesome I had great time in this hotel

« Avoid paying extra for the Jacuzzi room »

The hotel itself is really nice, when we walked in at midnight after a long flight it was a welcome rest , it was nice and clean and met by welcoming staff. We paid a little bit extra for a jacuzzi room so we're looking forward to putting it on, the room itself was lovely , spa like and very spacious we went to put on the jacuzzi and it didn't work ,with it being late we decided to try the next day. Unfortunately the same happened the following night and we had engineers in and out of our room for an hour which you don't really want when your on holiday, it kind of ruined the novelty of having it. Again on the 5 th night we tried it again and the same happened, we went down to reception to complain as this really wasn't on , we asked for a refund for extra we had paid for the jacuzzi for the 5 night of our holiday that we had been unable to use it and the response we got was you didn't book through the hotel so we can't. We asked to speak to the manager and she came up to our room, herself and the engineer were in our room for over an hour again around 10 pm until it was fixed. We asked for any compensation for the inconvenience suggesting maybe breakfast for our remaining days and she said she would look in to it and come back to us..... she never did. She was really un helpful and it was as if we were bothering her . We tried again on the Last night and a disgusting smell came out of it which put us off so we used the jacuzzi not once in the whole 9 days , waste of money. It's such a shame as this hotel otherwise was really nice, it was ideal location to seminyak centre and the staff were always so helpful ( apart from the manager, she should really take a leaf out of her staffs books) they were always on hand to book a taxi or directions and the guy on excursions sorry I forgot his name was exceptional. The pool area is really nice, lots of sunbeds free any time of day and the rooftop restaurant has stunning views. We are planning to come back to Bali next year and if it wasn't for the hot tub drama we would have come back to stay but because of it we will stay elsewhere.

So the golden tulip, this place is a very nice place but some things could do with changing, the decor in the main lobby is a little bit old and the pool area could do with a little bit of maintenance around the edges but this is a brilliant beautiful little hotel just off the main road in seminyak very quite end of a long Street which is quiet, we were pleasantly surprised by how courteous all of the staff were the rooms on the other hand were very nice looking but not very user friendly for example our room had an adjoining door and no balcony or a way to open any windows also the shower would always flood the bathroom despite they're being two drain holes which never seem to work and it would end up going into the wood outside the bathroom which then left a musty smell in the bedroom, the prices were not that bad for food but it is a hotel so you pay a higher price, the security staff also were amazing they introduced themselves and we felt very safe, we also hired a scooter in the main lobby which was cheap and all I can say is if your going to hire a scooter just make sure u have very good spacial awareness and good riding skills the roads are so busy and unforgiving if you go wrong. Anyway the hotel gets a 4 from me it was impressive but could do with upgrading and maintainance in areas other than that keep up the good work and professional level of service
