« Gut gelegen, gute Qualität, ansprechender Service ... »

« Friendly and efficient »

This hotel is located in a fairly non-descript street within walking distance of most of what you are likely to want to see in this delightful city. Kyrgyz people are friendly and charming and the hotel staff all exemplify this - and they all speak some English, with reception staff fluent. My room was fine - comfortable bed and pillows, scrupulously clean and with a good shower - but the window was quite small and there was no armchair and bed-side lighting was not ideal. Breakfast was good, especially the water-melon and honey-comb. Price was very reasonable - $80 a night - but Kyrgyzstan is a cheap (and very beautiful) country. I would certainly stay here again

« Good choice in Bishkek »

Golden Tulip is a relatively new hotel close to downtown Bishkek (10-15 min walking distance to the most central streets), a good balance of price and comfort. I arrived at 07:00 in the morning, well ahead of the check-in time but the reception crew was very accomodating and had told me they can let me enter my room after breakfast and that's what I've done. Sounds like music to one's ears after 6 hours on a plane. Breakfast was a open buffett with many options including made to order omlettes, don't expect a huge selection, was more than enough for me. Staff speaks good English, very helpful with recommendations on where to eat, shop, go etc.
