« A treasure in the countryside »

If you are looking for a top class resort in the countryside look no further than the Royal Tulip. Set on a magnificent cliff face the hotel provides jawdropping vistas and all the amenities of a 5 star hotel. We stayed a week in a villa. Staff are warm, friendly and go the extra mile. Enjoyed the hotel activities such as a holy man blessing, yoga and walks in the countryside. The management are very visible. Smiles all around!

« Peaceful »

We had 4 night with a Luxury Escape deal. The hotel is still under construction/decoration though that did not affect our stay. When complete it will be a very big resort and I think I would probably not want to stay if it was full. The room was very comfortable with views across the valley and mountain. Service was helpful and courteous in true Balinese style. However waiters in the main resturant appeared to be learning, requests were sometimes ignored or took a long time. We felt the service and food was of higher standard in the pool side resturant. We ate lunch and dinner there. Breakfasts were reasonably good not the best but certainly not the worst. The spa was under construction so they were using 2 villas instead. There were limited treatment options available because of lack of facilities. We enjoyed our massage and reflexology however the facial was average. The treatment I thought well priced. The area is unspoiled and beautiful without the usual touristy shops. We enjoyed our stay.

« Most serene and relaxing experince/holiday ever, in the mountains of Bedugul »

Mum and I shared a Luxury Escape voucher and although it wasn't what we expected it was an amazing experience. The service was great, local staff mostly understood all requests and if they didn't then someone else was available to assist. Our room overlooked the rice paddies, the room was clean and refreshed Twice everyday. Our days were filled up with Activities from yoga, meditation, hiking, massage and feasting on Asian and Western cuisine, no complaints about the food, there was so much to chose from, best views, the Cook was very friendly and the "spice class" was great. The yoga studio overlooking the valley and the mountains and daily yoga with Kedek and Buda was my highlight, only wished there was more, all the Daily Activities included were a great way to see the whole of the resort and sourrounds. I loved the Water Temple and blessing from The Holy man. The massage and reflexology was included and was also very good. It was very noisy over night on our first night with late arrivals and moving of furniture as well as guests returning to their rooms, we mentioned this at reception and didn't hear any more the next 3 nights. Didn't find an "outdoor running track", didn't get a "personal wellness consultation" on arrival as advertised and 4 nights wasn't long enough for me.
