« A smile can make a big difference »

It was a very Nice hotel, very Nice decor, and clean for the most, but the staff could be more friendly. No smiles, or some empaty at all, even when I must change my room because something was wrong there. And that´s a pitty, because a little smile and some kindness can make a big difference. Both shifts I met, in fact.

« Brilliant Hotel, Extremely Comfy »

Brillant Hotel, very comfy beds in a modern and stylish room with air con for when its very hot. The wifi as stated is fast and reliable, staff are all friendly and welcoming even waiting for us when trains made us late to catch last shuttle. For anyone wishing to see Amsterdam I highly recommend this hotel and travel in and out to the centre of the city for a more quiet and comfortable experience. 5 star!!

« Cool hotel need to improve the 12€ breakfast buffet though »

The hotel has very stylish decor and friendly staff. The rooms are spotless and the beds are very comfortable. Rooms are quiet and clean. BUT they should employ more people for the breakfast buffet. There were only two girls working and sheer amount of people overpowered them. Even though they were trying as hard as they could they weren't able to clean up tables and refill the buffet in a timely manner. Also I find it quite disappointing that the cheapest drink at the only vending machine we could find was still more expensive than the cheapest at the airport (2,5€ instead of 3€).

« Clean & friendly. »

Had a 3 night stay at this new hotel near Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam. First the good points. Clean & spacious with a quick & easy check-in. Rooms average size with bathroom to match. Plenty of space in which to relax with a bar until 0030 & meals available until 2200. Room was quiet despite a main road outside. Beds were comfortable although very narrow so may not be suitable for the larger physique. And the bad points... 1) Hotel shuttle is only an 8 seater people carrier. On 2 occasions from the airport we had to wait almost an hour before being able to actually get on one. Also at arrivals 4 at the airport the shuttle doesn't stop at the same stop as all the other hotel shuttles. You have to walk about 200m to the Special Assistance area. There were no signs reflecting this & it was only by asking someone that we were told where to go. From the hotel to the airport you have to book with reception to ensure you can get on one.(If you're desired time isn't available then you are allotted the next one...not ideal if you have flights to catch.) The shuttle only run's half-hourly & not at all between 1000-1600. This was a big let down & has cost them me giving 5 stars. 2) Air conditioning controls need a degree in electronics to operate. No instructions available to help you get the full potential from it.(Never seen controls like it before!) 3) No cupboards/drawers in which to place clothes. 4) No shelve in shower in which to place your own personnel wash things.(It's the little things that make all the difference.) At check-out the clerk did say that the shuttle bus fiasco was "in hand." There is a regular normal bus, the 193 which departs from the bus station opposite the airport. Single fare is EUR2. Bus stop is just a 2 minute walk from hotel.

« Convienent and contemporary »

We stayed at this hotel the night before our early morning flight out of Schiphol airport. It was very clean, contemporary, and fresh! Check-in was easy and we reserved a shuttle spot for 5:30am at that time. Make sure you do this; there were many people who wanted to get on the bus that AM, but space was limited to those with reservations. The bathroom could use better lighting, but that's the only negative I can think of!
