We came to Goinania to visit an American relative who lives there. He recommended the hotel as a reliable choice. It's been there for quite a while. It has a FEW signs of wear in the hallways (very minor) but the rooms are in good repair. The rooms are very spacious and everything works. Floors don't have carpet which I appreciate because then one knows the floors are clean. IMO, carpets can harbor all sorts of things! Our room was a 2-room "suite" which would be great for a business traveler so they could meet someone in a room without a bed in it. There was also a microwave and a refrigerator that housed a minibar but there was room to store a few personal items as well. The staff were polite and helpful. The front desk staff did speak English. The breakfast was very good and the one dinner we had was fine too.

« oldie but goodie »

This hotel is clean, quiet, walking distance to restaurants and has exceptional employees. The hotel is old and in need of updating, but the fact that the staff keeps it clean allows one to look past that. The hotel has a pool, fitness center, sauna, restaurant and bar all of which are well maintained. I will return to Goiania soon and already reserved a room here. Its service and amenities make this oldie ten times better than nearby hotels of which I tried.

« Particularly satisfied with attention of staff »

We weren't on any particularly remarkable trip - we actually had not necessarily planned on staying over in Goiânia on a July road trip to visit family further south. We arrived on an evening when most hotels in town were either full or had hiked their prices - apparently some famous singing priest was in town. I'll admit Address (now part of the Tulip family, if I remember correctly) was not top of our list of options (it was about 3rd or 4th), but it was one that offered an especially good room (a suite, in fact) at what, at the time we arrived to negotiate, was a reasonable price (about US$ 160). The suite we got was just right for our specific family needs - as we have very different sleeping rhythms, my wife & daughter actually sleep more comfortably together and I slept in "living room". The down-side of the living room: a very small TV & no A/C, so I had to keep the window open. Also, no extra toilet for whomever is in living room, so had to bother the rest of the family when going to the bathroom. Otherwise, the room was just right. Breakfast was fine - not great, but as I read someone else's review, we Brazilians have huge expectations about breakfast. So, all fine. What was best, though, was that all the staff with whom we were in touch or whose help we requested were really friendly and fast. That, above all, is essential in any service environment. We had no particular tough problems for them to solve, but all help we needed did not turn out into problem situations, which is actually overlooked, but key to a pleasant stay. Would I put Address on top of my Goiânia list? Not necessarily, but then I'd have to return to the other hotels to check out how they're doing. But I certainly would put it on my list of dependable 2nd option, at least.
