« Good Hotel, Lively Location »

Booked this hotel last minute following a cancellation, we were a little concerned after reading some of the reviews but on reflection I'm not sure if these people were actually staying in the same hotel! All the staff we met were polite and helpful, the hotel itself is pretty modern with a big airy lobby and lounge bar. Rooms were a reasonable size, neat and cleaned every day. There was no coffee/tea facilities within the room (shame as I do love a coffee first thing to feel more human) but there was a fridge, hairdryer and a decent TV (by hotel standards) The bathroom was clean and tidy with plenty of shampoos, soaps, towels etc. As we stayed on a B&B basis I can't say what the food was like in the evenings, but the breakfast was certainly excellent. Your usual array of cooked & continental, hot & cold drinks all on a buffet basis. As a fitness obsessive I did make use of the fitness room, and this is all it is! A couple of treadmills, a couple of bike, a step machine, a small multi-gym, a single bench and some decent dumbbells, enough to get through a few light holiday sessions! There were no towel facilities or water dispenser though (meaning you had to bring your own from your room allocation). The area is pretty 'lively' even for early November, and there are plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants all within a block or two radius. All in all we very much enjoyed the stay here, if the hotel management were to implement a few minor changes (as mentioned) I'm sure the satisfaction rate would be even higher. Thanks for a good week (except for the weather!)

« Very good for price i paid »

I usually cant afford a hotel of this standard in Malta, as from may to september when i usually visit i feel every hotel is very overpriced, even the poor basic 3 stars. So this was a very welcome change. Check in was fast, though i was early off plane and was checked in well before stated time. Reception very clean, elegant and spacious. My room on 4th floor was side facing the sea, what i expected and very clean and spacious..twin beds, they dont suit me, so shall request a double or king next time. Bathroom large and modern, plenty towels of which i had no issue with quality. Bed was very comfy and firm, bedding and pillows enough of too remove or add to my choice. Breakfast area was nice , good chouce and spacious and i had no faults of any food served at this time. Plenty choice to keep you going . Bar needs to improve on cocktail choice, especially with nearby hotels and bars offerring better. Spa facilities were a let down for me,unstaffed and also information of procedure to use lockers, steam and sauna room was not clearly explained. Coffee facilities and also iron facilities for rooms could be a suggestion for management to act on. Overall, i shall return in February as a base for the malta marathon.

« Wonderful »

I haven’t actually stayed in this hotel, only visited it to meet someone, but it blew me away. It’s 4 star and well worth it. The entrance lobby and reception area is clean and very elegant looking with comfortable seating. There’s even a piano. The staff look smart in their uniforms and they are very helpful. Compared to other hotels I have reviewed this is by far the best. Would love to stay here instead of a rubbish hotel like the one I am currently in which is only 3 star and not deserving of any of those stars at all. This has ruined our holiday. If we come to Malta again we will stay at Vivaldi.
